The Architecture

Inspired by the small, waterfront fishing villages of the Florida Keys and the Caribbean, the Shore was realized by a skilled group of architects and designers and the passion and dedication of Ned Johnson.

Each home was sited to take advantage of the cooling breezes and present unobstructed views to the Florida Bay, yet create an intricate patchwork of open spaces and intimate porches, woven together by lanes, sand paths and brick walks.



Each home is eminently practical, designed using forms and materials that work in tandem with the tropical climate. Deep porches shade the openings from the sun, while steeply pitched roofs easily shed rain. As such, the homes evoke a casual elegance, while providing the finest luxuries, comforts and conveniences.
