I learned the art of fly fishing on the flats of Islamorada with my grandfather, Carl Navarré. At the time, he owned the Cheeca Lodge and was one of the pioneers of saltwater fly fishing.
Fly fishing is still my obsession and Islamorada is still magical. It is the essence of my history and three generations of my family. It is part of my soul. My dream is to preserve this living tradition by creating a place which captures the natural beauty and serenity of Islamorada.
After two years of searching for the perfect location, it all came together — the right setting of privacy, waterfront and white, sandy beach. The first step was to consult with my partner, Jimmy Pruett, and we both agreed that we should purchase this unique property right away. The next step was putting together the perfect team of architect, landscape architect and interior designer. Each was invaluable and shared my passion and vision.
I know that
The Shore will continue the rich traditions and reveal the magic of Islamorada for years to come... Thanks, Papa Carl.
